X-men anime sucks

I actually did watch some recent anime,  X-men anime is one of them.  I didn’t remember watching it until the trauma came back,  I guess I blocked it out.  This is definitely a trend of more bad anime coming.  How the hell can you fuck up X-men, well it did happen.  I’m give you my reasons why X-men anime sucks.

X-men anime sucks because: 1)  Art style is bad.

X-men anime sucks

Honestly I’m not very good at judging anime style art.  The problem with X-men is that all the characters look weird.  The color palette is strange as well.  Lots of purple on black stuff and then finally it’s super dark.  Lots of times it’s a little tricky to follow the action.  For some strange reason one of the major problems with this anime is the look, I just can’t stand the art style.

X-men anime sucks

X-men anime sucks because: 2) Hisako character is lame.

Hisako is the audience proxy and we are suppose to identify with her..  Hisako is a very cliché anime character basically very meek unless she has to fight then she’s brave.  I can’t remember any interesting traits about her (nothing really cool either).

X-men anime sucks

Her voice is very cliché as well (Japanese voice).  Everything about her seems to be cut out of all teenage girls in anime.  Even in the 90′s cartoon of X-men Jubilee had her issues as well, but she definitely did a better job than Hisako.  We should have had Gambit or Rouge, instead we got Hisako.

X-men anime sucks because: 3)  End Credits pissed me off and the villains sucked

I hated the end credits of this show,  because they had all the villains this anime was suppose to have.  Come on, you see Mystique, Magneto and the  Juggernaut .

X-men anime sucks

Magneto is one of my favorite Marvel characters.  Magneto always brought an interesting view to the story and his ideas can be very polarizing (perfect anti-hero).

X-men anime sucks

The X-men of the 90′s best episodes had Magneto.  Without really good villains the story suffers a lot,  The U-men and Mastermind just didn’t work for me.

X-men anime sucks

The U-men especially were not memorable or interesting.  I couldn’t for the life of me remember any of their names.

X-men anime sucks because: 4)  Pick a bad setting for it

I just came off Wolverine and the X-men (which was criminally ended at Season 1).  The setting was basically Jean Grey became the Phoenix and died trying to stop it.

X-men anime sucks

Both shows had a similar concept Jean Grey was gone, Cyclops was a wreck and the plot started on what events happened to cause the tragedy. Just watching Wolverine and the X-men this setting for the anime didn’t work.

I had the same problem with the new Amazing Spider-man movie, although the movie was good I wanted to go past the origin story.  The new Superman movie could be similar as well.  Getting back to X-men the heroes also try to figure out the 2nd mutation which felt out of place as well.  On paper you see X-men fighting evil mutants to save the world, but it didn’t work at all here, the execution was poorly done.

X-men anime sucks

In the end it was a boring show,  I couldn’t even nit-pick on more points.  I couldn’t remember alot of this anime even though I saw it recently.  Madhouse did a few more anime Marvel shows like Wolverine, Iron Man and Blade, all of them looked pretty bad as well.  X-men anime was worse than Generation X 1996 TV movie (God was that bad).

If you take a look at those X-men Japanese OP I found on YouTube it’s really sad how great this show could have been.

These are my reasons why X-men anime sucks.

  1. Well, All anime sucks. Bleack, One peice, That one with the wolves, that one with the cats, that one with the big breasted ladies. Wait, all of them?

    • You… I dont like you….

    • Not all anime sucks!! This one yes, and there are some anime that aren’t terrific, but compared to some American cartoons… -_-’ ya

There’s 11eyes, Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, Fullmetal Alchemist, InuYasha, Soul Eater, Deadman Wonderland, Chrono Crusades, Little Busters, Kanon, Sword Art Online, Black Lagoon, Toradora, And Ghost Hunt!!!!!!!! There are as many genre of anime as there are books and regular tv.
You can’t judge a entire drawing style by a few crappy shows.

p.s If you can’t stand a little pervertedness on anime, stop watching MA shows and a few tv 14.

      • Attack on Titan is good. However I have alot of problems with Inu Yasha, Toradora(for sure) and Black Lagoon. Actually Inu Yasha and Toradora I was planning to create articles on why they suck. Black Lagoon again I can’t relate to some psycho gun wielding anti hero character. I have no idea why Black Lagoon is popular.

      • you forgot clannad

    • I read these comments and laugh at u haters

  2. I don’t know about X-Men or Blade anime since I have not watched them. I watched Iron Man and Wolverine anime and those did not satisfy me. I will put spoilers to validate my verdict.

I watched Wolvy with Jap dub because the English voice acting is just unbearable, so I can’t comment any further about that. I feel that the only Marvel thing about this anime is Wolverine, Cyclops (yes, he’s in there for a short while) and Omega Red. The rest (majority) are generic Japanese shit, including bad guys.
The plot is that he goes to rescue his girlfriend/fiance (which failed to make me give a fuck) from some brat who looks like Otacon from Metal Gear Solid. Yet in the end, she dies. YES!!! She DIES!!! Then what was all that fighting about? Maybe Wolvy is suitable for a tragic ending but do they have to make all his efforts in vain? The bad guys’ power came to an end but that’s not even what Wolvy gives a crap about. He wants his GF back. FAIL!!

As for Iron Man, the English voice acting is bearable at best. However the corniness and cliche puts me off a little. Oh well, aimed for Japanese audience? I guess I can overlook it. Some things in this one that bothers me include the tragic fate of Ho Yinsen. Someone who supposed to be Tony’s inspiration ends up an adversary. All this is so sudden. When Tony defeated him, he was too quick to confess when 5 seconds ago he was as stubborn as a goat. Another forced attempt jokingly taken from Assassin’s Creed 3 after you killed Templar leaders. His goodbye dialogue is far from convincing since his buildup is shit anyway.
They made a Japanese adaptation of Colonel Rhodes, who has his own suit but under Japanese government authority. That attempt is good but how he goes in the end and the ending makes it like everyone forgot about him, even Stark. Stabbed to death (in a suit-to-suit fight), sunk to the ocean and die. No mention of him or his sacrifice later? No cherishing his departure?
Tony’s lover, Dr. Chika Tanaka has good voice acting and her character was interesting. She can somewhat make you care about her. But watch out, this is where the trait of from the Wolvy anime comes into play: she DIES!!! This time, via “digitalizing” her mind? And her self-sacrificing solution was so conveniently brought up when earlier she said she cannot reverse the arc reactor process, since only she has access and her mind is controlled by Zodiac. The method didn’t make any sense? Is she a living USB? Oh, her first name means ‘girl’ in Spanish.

Oh, I haven’t watched the Iron Man: Rise of Technovore yet but I know that shit a mile away. They reused the generic soundtrack of the Iron Man anime. In voice acting, same flaws here.

I can go on about the Marvel Anime flaws here but it will be too long and unorganized so I shall stop here.

    • I actually did see Iron Man: Rise of Technovore that was bad. It seems the DC animated stuff is much better than Marvels (Check out Flash Paradox).

  3. This anime is an insult to Marvel. The Japanese shouldn’t touch anything DC or Marvel.

  4. This is pretty sad, I really enjoyed the anime. I’m a HUGE anime fan and a HUGE Marvel fan, and I thought this was good, not great….but good. Wish they would have continued and made a season too with better villains.

  5. Japanese anime are always deferent, that sort of anime should not mix with marvel animations, yet I didn’t see all of marvel animation movie but they must improve there work in the animation sight. I am a great fan of marvel ( dc is my 2nd option) , I did enjoy some of there animation movies
